Interest remains high in the case of Amanda Todd. The Brtish Columbia teen took her own life last October. Her suicide got a lot of attention because of a youtube video she had posted weeks before her death. It chronicles the bullying and extortion she faced when a topless picture of her was shared via social media. Her mother recently posted a blog on Huffington Post Canada about the relationship she forged with some Vancouver Sun reporters who have won awards for their coverage of the teen’s death and its aftermath. The blog was later removed from the site. Her blog has caused discussion about the ethics of getting close to sources. J-Source provided two reflections on the subject. You can read both of them, including more background and why Huffington Post decided to take down the blog here and here.
