This article is great analysis of the challenges journalism faces in the post-truth world. It also proposes a model to meet those challenges. Charlie Beckett is the founding Director of Polis, a think tank on journalism and society, based at the London School of Economics. It is entitled “Emotionally networked journalism: regaining trust, rebuilding truth? He argues for the need to combine emotion and reason for a new robust form of journalism. He advocates for “a networked journalism that deploys traditional journalism values within the setting of a transformed relationship with the public.” It is a cogent and sensible vision for journalism.
