Guarding the Rings

Even though a recent survey says Canadians are only so-so about the Olympics, it’s hard not to get into the spirit just a little bit. Social media enables those golden moments to move like lightening around the world. And that’s a sponsor’s nightmare. The Olympics may be about lofty ideals of sportsmanship, but it is also very big business. Broadcasters without the rights are very closely monitored, and woe betide if those rings sneak into a shot if you haven’t paid for the rights to use it. So what about the likes of us.
