Since my last post I have completed two reviews and launched six others.
The first finding concerned a CBC.ca report on impending cuts to the public service. The complainant asserted the report was inaccurate in describing support measures for affected workers. I did not find any violation of CBC Journalistic Standards and Practices.
The second finding involved a complaint that recent reports on violence at the Israeli/Gaza Strip region were unfair. I did not find any violation of CBC Journalistic Standards and Practices.
I have agreed to review six complaints on a radio series on Bosnia, an online report on domestic violence against men, a radio report there had been bullying at a high school, the language use in stories concerning abortion, a television segment that discussed government cuts, and the thoroughness of online stories on scent sensitivity.
