New findings released and reviews under way

Since my last post I have released three findings and launched two reviews.

The first finding involved a public complaint about a CBC.ca report on the health hazards of sugar. The complainant asserted that the report headline and content were unfair, but I did not find a violation of CBC Journalistic Standards and Practices.

The second finding concerned a complaint about CBC Ottawa reports on television and online featuring video from a trial for the murder of a police officer. There was no violation of journalistic policy.

The third finding followed a public complaint about CBC television and online coverage of violent attacks on Canadians in Mexico. There was no violation of policy.

Two reviews have been launched. One concerns an online opinion article on CBC.ca and the other involves the characterization on CBC Television of think-tanks.
